Not only is this Champ almost new looking, it’s being dailied. I keep running into it around town lately.

I had one with a 3 speed auto. Well balanced car. Not a hot hatch though.

I took my driver’s test in it’s sibling the Colt GTS Turbo.
1st tester failed me for running 4th gear (low range) in town.
Awesome little car, Black over red interior. I’ve been watching for another lately, almost had one, but felt the owner was about $1k too high on the price.

I had a Turbo 8 speed version. It was hot.
It wasn’t very refined, as it was the “cheapest turbocharged car in the US” in 1984. It was plenty to rack up a bunch of speeding tickets for this teenager.

Not an option for 1980!

Sorry to hear that. :(

It wasn’t until 1999 that I got to drive a turbo vehicle. That motor had 24 valves and no spark plugs though.

My parents had a 4 door one when I was little. It had the 2-stick manual.
